US troops in Iraq keep killing terrorists...

... even if the media could care less. Check out this in depth analysis from the AP wire:

BAGHDAD (AP)-[off the wire, no link]-The U.S. military announced Friday it had killed five senior figures of al-Qaida in Iraq during an airstrike last Saturday in Husaybah near the Syrian border.

The five, including at least one North African, were responsible for bombings against U.S. and Iraqi forces, the announcement said.

That just brilliant reporting there. I smell a Pulitzer for this guy. Was no other info available? Who were the 5 bigwigs? What bombings were they responsible for? Were there any other casualties? If one of our soldiers get so much as a bruise or a splinter it's front page news (and to an extent, deservedly so, if only it were reported if a fair and balanced manner) but these bad guys just got blown into itty bitty teeny tiny peices, and we can get even a little bit more info?

Good job to the troops though. I like that they're taking a page out of the Israeli play book with the precision airstrike.
