Can Arnold stop the unions blitzkrieg

If you own a TV in California, half the commercials you see on now are political campaigns for the special election coming up next week. And 90% of those commercials are sponsored by the unions trying to impale Arnold and the plethora of propositions this year. Here's just another example (off the wire, no link).

California Nurses, Teachers, Firefighters Announce ''Truth Squad'' Bus Tour Saturday to Correct the Record in Governor's Campaign; 9 am Kickoff in San Diego, Later Stops in Anaheim, Riverside, LA

The California Nurses Association, joined by the California Teachers Association and California Professional Firefighters, will hold a four-city Southern California "Truth Squad" bus tour Saturday. The nurses, teachers and firefighters will shadow Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's bus tour to correct the record in the governor's misleading campaign on behalf of his initiatives in the special election next Tuesday.

For RNs, the tour marks the one-year anniversary of Gov. Schwarzenegger's attack on nurses and patients, dating back to his November 4, 2004 emergency regulation to suspend major portions of the state's safe staffing law. While the emergency order has been overturned by the courts, Schwarzenegger continues to appeal the decision. Following that emergency regulation, Schwarzenegger stepped up his offensive against nurses, branding them "special interests" and extending his assault to teachers, firefighters and other Californians, culminating in the proposals on Nov. 8 ballot.

"The Truth Squad" will follow Schwarzenegger on the one of the final stages of the campaign to provide California voters the real story of the election and what is at stake for all Californians, said CNA today.

Truth bus my ass. If I can find the time this weekend, I may actually go looking for the "Liar Bus" and harass them a bit. Fun stuff.

Speaking of all these propositions, XRLQ has a great post on how he (and I agree with his analysis) think you ought to vote on the Props.

UPDATE: Here's some basic info on each of the propositions.
