Dow closes above 12,000 for first time

After passing the mark a couple times during the day yesterday, the NYSE finally broke through the glass ceiling and closed at a record 12,011.73.

And on the anniversary of 1987's Black Monday no less, when the NYSE closed at 1,793.90. Less than 20 years later, four presidents, three wars, and America's worst terrorist attack ever have passed and the economy is still rolling. Unemployment is at 4.6%.

Maybe cutting taxes really can help stimulate the economy... ya think?
