22 terrorists killed, 6 detained in Afghanistan

Let's not forget our troops good work there...

Afghan and US troops have killed 22 suspected militants in two clashes in the south, the US military says.

Thirteen Taleban insurgents were killed at the weekend in the southern province of Kandahar, a statement said.

Nine other suspected militants were killed in a clash in the central province of Uruzgan on Tuesday.

Three US, three Afghan and two other foreign soldiers were wounded in the weekend clash. There has been no word from the Taleban.

Six other suspected rebel fighters were detained following Tuesday's fighting in Tarin Kowt district of Uruzgan, the US military said.

As much as we'd like them all six feet under, that some are being captured for interrogation is excellent. You can never get enough intel.
